Default Zango Is Finished

I don't use them (they closed my account a while back), but I just read that Zango are finished:

Not sure why El Reg thinks they were the "last man standing"....

I just phoned them and they are still up and running and serving ads. Apparently they got funding (my rep didn't say from where but I was reading about Blinkx stepping in) and things are running as per usual.

I'm glad because they are probably my most profitable network at the moment.

Here's a couple interesting blog posts from a former CTO of Zango.

They've been around a while and under a couple different names. Even if "zango" goes under expect to see it re surface with a shiny new identity a couple weeks or months later.

Now what?

I'd suggest emailing the address they mentioned as I don't know how things are working in their transition. You can also try signing up at adservices.zango.com though, which appears to still be active.

I spoke to their rep yesterday and everything is fine. Yes, the are undergoing changes but the service remains the same.

Yes, they will take our money. And, yes, they will run ads for us.

Cheers!
