Default How To Sign Up With TrafficVance

I just signed up with TrafficVance today and it was actually pretty easy.

It took them a couple of days to review my application, but I received an IM from Jonathan Vogel which led to a call where he basically he told me that they don't allow gambling, adult, adware toolbar, or registry repair type offers to be promoted on their network. I pretty much told him I promote lead generation type offers in weight loss and insurance niches.

I sent TV $500 via CC and faxed over my credit card and drivers license.

He also said if people want to get immediate approval they can apply directly with him:

Jonathan Vogel, VP of TrafficVance

Follow the instructions jasperp gave and Jonathan Vogel will get you approved quick.

I hate having to wait for things and was impressed how quick I was approved. I hit him up on AIM (jonautomatic), then he called, had me fill out the simple application. He approved it then I faxed over the docs and I was in. Simple.

As jasperp stated there is a minimum $500 deposit.

I did this today as well. Jon approved me right away.

I applied and received an email from Vogel that asks "Are you aware of the $1000.00 minimum deposit?".

I guess the $500 deposit has gone up to $1000 or I made somebody mad by just applying, LOL!

How good (i.e. important) is this network when it comes to success? Better yet, let me ask this question like this:

Rate the 5 networks in order of their importance to being successful with PPV Coach (obviously, I realize everybody's mileage may vary but I bristled a bit when asked to deposit twice as much as expected so I hope everybody rates TV #5, LOL!)):

Zango
Traffic Vance
Media Traffic
Clicksor
Adonnetwork

I've been using TV for over a year and they are my most successful network in terms of conversions. I deposit $1k each time I add funds, just because its easier than constantly adding more. I usually test a campaign on TV first and if it works there then I roll it out to the others. I know that one campaign can convert on one network and not others but I find it easier to stay on top of my targets if I keep my tests small to start with. Once I'm confident its a keeper and I don't have any wild targets then I'm more comfortable letting it loose elsewhere.

I've just started getting more campaigns up and running on Zango and so far its been promising. The volume seems higher but the min bids are higher too. They seemed to take ages to approve campaigns before but I now have an account manager so if they take more than a day or two I just email her and she sorts it out.

So in terms of conversions I'd rank them:

Traffic Vance
Zango
AdOn Network
Media Traffic

I don't even bother with Clicksor but I think Coach uses them for list building. Maybe when I get more into that I'll give them a try again. I think their interstitial ads look interesting and could be worth testing.

Great post Jill. I will have to try out TV. Zango has been ok for me, but AdOn has been a total bust. Come to think of it I don't know where my conversions are coming from b/c if you use the Campaign Launcher it will stick "media+traffic" in the source variable for your AdOn campaigns, so maybe I am getting AdOn conversions but crediting them to MT.

And that's great advice about starting out small. I tend to take way too much time setting up campaigns b/c I collect like 1500 urls and keywords and then clean them and then do big bulk uploads. I'm starting to see that this doesn't make that much sense, most of my conversions and traffic come from 10 urls or less.

Ouch! I didn't want to hear that TV was #1, LOL!

But that does explain their demanding ways I guess...

to put things in perspective and you might have different results. I was losing big time with media traffic. I was losing slowly daily. LOL

You could say I was being stubborn by not spending the money with TV.

As soon as I did, I noticed 2 things:
1- I go through the money ALOT faster
2- I make money ALOT faster

So yeah I had to raise my game in terms of tracking every bloody kw/url.

I'm gonna have a tshirt made that says "TV IZ DA SHIZ"

Did you try TrafficVance? Any luck? I tried them but after going round the houses with them a bit, they suddenly announced that they're not accepting new advertisers unless you can provide a reference from an existing customer of theirs...

I just joined. It is $1,000 for affiliates to join though. Contact Jonathan as noted above and preferrably by phone if you can't get in. He was very quick to approve things once I got in touch with him though.

As far as a reference, use Coach or just say you are a member of PPVCoach forums. It worked for me.

Haven't launched anything yet though...
