Default Tips for improving the SNIPER METHOD

We all know what the sniper method is.
Basically.... pop your ad over a competitor when the customer is on the signup page.... and get paid the commission because the client ends up signing up on your ad or the cookie you stuffed steals the commission from the other guy.

The problem with this is that... most people go about doing this method
the wrong way.

Lets take clickbank as an example.... why.. cuz they are easy to exploit.

People choose a product that they think would sell... or that is selling.
and they either do a direct link.. or landing page/cookie stuffed to make sure the commission goes to them....

The problem comes when they do all this.... and then they run the campaign only to realize that on the PPV network that they are using... there is little to no traffic to that URL... to that particular products sign up page . The product is selling.... but not to people on the PPV network they use. So they get no hits... or very little hits.

what happens then is that your sniping campaign ends up as a failure....

Here is how to fix that.

Again.... I am not affiliated with affexpert but their PPV tools are pretty good.

They have one called Offer explorer... if you submit a sales page from any of the click bank products.... it traces and follows all the way to the sign up page.... so that you can target it.

So here is what you do..... put as many Clickbank Products with high gravity as you can in the offer explorer and let it follow to the sign up page....
then target as many signup pages as you can.....
Don't worry about the landing page right now... just put any landing page.

then run the campaign for as long as you need to determine which Clickbank products sign up pages get the most traffic......

When you see the stats... it will show you which clickbank sign up url got the most hits....AND THAT IS THE PRODUCT THAT YOU BUILD A LANDING PAGE FOR AND THAT IS THE PRODUCT YOU TARGET TO SNIPE.

This way... you are sure that there is traffic to the sign up page before you invest time in your landing pages.....

and if you run this campaign long enough.... you can possibly get several products you can snipe at the same time.....

Do I use this method??? NO...I do not have the stomach to do this.... that is why I am posting this method here....

I use tons of other methods.... all legal... all ethical... all within TOS....
there are so many ways to make money with PPV.

Take care... and have a good.

Why do we need a landing page here?

I believe if you are sniping a clickbank product page, you should be able to just pop up your clickbank page. Even if the user closes it, your cookie would be in place if they make a purchase in the main browser window.

Very unethical though.

There are sometimes when the client goes to the sign up page just to see what the final charges are..... and they might not be all that convinced to buy yet...

Sometimes the sales page for the clickbank product reallys sucks...
so when you snipe... even though your cookie is there.... the sales still has to be pushed toward the prospective buyer..... THE SALE STILL HAS TO BE MADE.
so... your landing page is just another presentation of the click bank product....
If the buyer needs that extra push to buy.... your landing page should give it to him...

With this method the commission is yours... .. we just want to make sure the conversion happens... and good landing pages helps to do that.....

Yes.... its unethical... and almost disturbing.... but it happens all the time.
Personally, I have never used it. It pretty much stealing.... in my opinion.

I barely do clickbank....
In fact... i have like $200 with them...from legit sales..
that they will not give me because I do not have 5 credit card sales.....

I guess I might have to do a bit of click bank to get that money out.... then close my account.

Actually, when you put it that way it doesn't seem that unethical to me.

Like you said, the sale still has to be made, and if your landing page is getting extra conversions that the product wouldn't have gotten anyways, then its not really no more unethical than any other form of PPV marketing, which when you think about it - is basically the art of siphoning traffic from other websites and converting it for yourself.

Hi,

I've been lurking around here a few days now so thought it's time I got the first post out of the way.

I presume this term quoted from Clickbank's Client Contract
You will not interfere with ClickBank's tracking of Commissions, or with the normal flow of traffic to, through, or from the ClickBank Services.
is what would classify this method as somewhat dubious?

Personally, If I had funds that I could afford to lose if I got caught, I myself would have no problem using this method. Since I'm just starting out I'm not ready to get burnt yet.
