Default Improving a Money Making Campaign....

Quick Tip on getting more conversions on an already profitable campaign.

Let's say you have a camp(short for campaign) that is making you money,
and you want to increase conversion.
More Traffic immediately comes to mind.... and you are right but its not always possible.

so this is what I do.

I get my top 3 targets that are converting well on a campaign.
Example:

URL 1 50 hits = 1 conversion
URL 2 80 hits = 1 conversion
URL 3 200 hits = 1 conversion

As you can see... its easier to improve URL 3 than the other two.

You need to MINIMIZE your MAXIMUM deficiency.

So here we go.

Do nothing to this campaign.

Make a new campaign with URL 3 as the ONLY target.
Now keep the same landing page you had and rotate
a couple of new landing pages.
Try two methods for this.
1)Make the new landing pages similar to the sales page.
2) AND make some landing pages SIMILAR to the TARGET URL site.
Yes, target URL. Make it look like the pop up came from the target
URL.... this works great for game offers.

and run this campaign.....

and eventually you will find a landing page that does
way better JUST with that particular TARGET URL.

Why did we keep the old landing page in the rotation?
Because we needed a control... we needed to keep a baseline
to compare the performance of the new landing pages.

What do I do when i find a landing page that performs better?
You remove all other landing pages.... and keep the camp running.
The original camp you pause the target URL that you have a new landing page for.

Can I do this for all of my Target URLs?

Yes... but do it for URLs that you feel should be converting more.
There is a point of diminishing returns.

Like always.... let me know if I can help you in anyway or form.

Take Care

Nice. Excellent advice!

If I have the same target in 2 different campaigns running to 2 different landing pages, and that target has a positive ROI in each camp, sometimes I keep both targets running.

And sometimes I rotate landing pages in the same campaign -- just depends on how I got to that point.

Yes... that can happen..

The thing is to remain granular in the way we think.

Micro Managing is important.

Good info! When you create a new campaign with that one target url I also like to add ALL url variations for that target. You'll get a lot of extra traffic that way.

Example:
target.com
target.com/
.target.com
.target.com/
targetcom
target com

The main one that I recently started using is .target.com. This has increased my traffic quite a bit on some urls, not sure if it's cause they use a lot of subdomains or what.

Definitely... i use all those tricks....even the "."trick
it does increase the hits.....

But I was assuming all the tricks of the trade were in use already.
All variations of the target URL were being used.....

So when I said create a campaign with ONLY that target url
I meant only variations of the target url.

because what we are addressing is the prospective customer at
that site.....increasing the number of sales we get when we pop up
on that site.....

Increasing traffic is good..... but you cannot just rely on more traffic= more conversions... because then scaling will be very hard.

I for one push for maximum traffic... then optimize for maximum conversions.

Let me explain...
which is better to increase your conversion rate by 2 or to increase the number of conversions by 2...

most people will say that its the same.... and its not.

increasing your conversion rate by two.... means with the same traffic
you get twice the conversions... but the TOTAL COST of the traffic remains constant.... thus you actually make more conversions and more profit per conversions.

increasing conversions by 2 means you double the amount of conversions but at the same time you double the amount of traffic.. so your TOTAL COST for traffic is double.... you make a bit more money but not more profit per conversion... same profit..just more conversions.

This tip deals with increasing your conversion rate... same traffic more conversions.... you make more money and spend less on traffic...

hope that makes sense....

When you've got a target with plenty of volume this tip works very well. Increasing your conversion rate even just a little bit over a long period of time on a target with volume will pay dividends.

Definitely see what you can do to increase your CTR, and your volume on any one target by building a landing page around it. Some PPV'ers use this as their only strategy as well. They choose one high volume target and build an offer and a landing page directly around it.

Hey J.Leone, isn't there a tool here at CPVDen that will allow us to copy/paste down our accumulated list of URLs, and then it will give us out the variations listed up above of each URL so that we can bid on them?

THANKS!

Hey either DenMaster or JLeone, what do I enter into the "List Information" and "Desired Expansions" box to get the variations seen up above?

For instance, I put in this link right here in the "Keyword List" box on the Splice page that DenMaster listed up above:

cpvden.com/ (as an example)

...but what would I need to (1) enter in the "desired expansions" box and checkbox on the "Options" selections to get something like this:

cpvden.com
cpvden.com/
.cpvden.com
.cpvden.com/
cpvdencom
cpvden com

I hope you guys are understanding what I am trying to convey here; LOL!

In the top box (keyword list) put all the domain name words, so for example:

Code:
cpvden
google
yahoo
Then in the Desired Expressions put all of the variations you can think of use kwd as the kwd token (this will get replaced) such as:

Code:
www.kwd.com
www kwd com
wwwkwdcom
wwwkwd.com/
Press submit and you will get this as a result:

Code:
www.cpvden.com
www cpvden com
wwwcpvdencom
wwwcpvden.com/
www.google.com
www google com
wwwgooglecom
wwwgoogle.com/
www.yahoo.com
www yahoo com
wwwyahoocom
wwwyahoo.com/
