Default grossed over 100 from last night to rightnow

Okay, so i'm only a couple weeks old in this ppv and ppc stuff. I woke up this morning noticed i made over 100 bucks. I was so shocked and happy. Problem is I dont know how to get the tracking thing going in my database. I have all the url's set up to be tracked but so clueless on how to get the tracking part down.

Not cool when you make money and have now clue where its coming from.

Please help me out.

1. How do I get the update and tracking part of my tracker database working?

2. Once its working, how do i track stuff? input the cvs file from the affiliate network and then input the cvs file from the traffic source agency??? is that just it?

Also when I looked at my cvs file from hyrda network, i looked at the sub id part and it was blank for all my conversions. Was there suppose to be numbers or something in there???

Cluless in Texas but yet very happy cause i've been doing this less then a month! weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!

Hey Maxwell,

That's awesome It's always great to start making more money!

As far as the tracking goes - I just launched my first campaign on Zango yesterday, so I'm still waiting until I need to update. So, take my advice with a grain of salt:

If you set up your tracking links correctly, all you should have to do is go into your affiliate network, and get your sub-id report. If you're doing this and you're not finding any sub-ids, it's most likely a problem with how you set up your links. I'd recheck them and test them out yourself, or have other people click them.

Anyways, once that's working - just update the ppvtracker with the subids and then go in the reports section and you should see all the stats!

Hope that helps and good luck

Whenever I try to upload data it get a 'division by zero' error. I am pretty stuck with the tracking as well. That is the least explained part of Affiliate Networking.. I am thinking about building my own tracking system, but I still need to figure out exactly how the tracking think works for all the networks.....

If you don't like coaches tracker you can try Tracking202.com

It's free, and web based. If you want a self-hosted version - try prosper202.com

Probably my favorite tracking systems. Only reason why I'm using coaches tracker is because of the offer rotation (which you can use a script for, with 202, if you wanted to), and because he integrates in the campaign builder!

Argh - Wish they could be combined!

I built my own tracker with chicken wire and duct tape ... which reminds me, I have to go pick up more duct tape.

It ain't sexy. But it works!

grassroots,

haha, trust me ... go with the coach's tracker. I'm not kidding when I say it's built out of chicken wire and duct tape. It's not so much of a script as it is a couple spreadsheets and an LP for each campaign with php random rotate, subid append, and header redirect.

Hell, I should install the tracker ... but I like "hard suspension" when I start something so I can get a real feel for the road.
