Exclamation Still have some questions

I still don't 100% get this, though I have read all posts and send pms around... and posted some:

So, if we go for the steal we want to, for example, we want to bid on product.com/orderform, right? Then we pop over our product.com/orderform and hopefully the person will fill out our form instead of the ones he was initially on. Is that correct?

If so, how do we pull this off. I have seen that video by rosalind garnder on how to do so with clickbank. Though, it works sometimes (problem persists at adonetwork due to the "_" in the format) many times the format is just different to the one that is shown in the video.

Moreover, and more importantly, coach says that private sort of deal or inhouse affiliate programms work the best. Why? And How?

How: How do we pop over the checkout page when we get an affiliate link that send the visitor to the landing page, not checkout? I really need that last bit of information, cause I really want to try this thing out, and I really have been waiting for replies and so on for 2 weeks. Please, please advise.

Many thanks

Vincent

Don't overthink things.

Bid on the orderform url.

It's that simple.

Exclamation

And just pop over the normal affiliate link that I get, which would essentially be the landing page that people already have gone through in order to get to the order form?

so wouldn't it be like this:

Visitor goes to "product.com" --> decides to buy --> clicks on "product.com/order" --->"product.com/order", which I bid on, triggers my pop over --> visitor ends up at "product.com" again --> visitor needs to either ignore my pop over and continues with original order form, in which case I don't get a commission

or

visitor goes to my pop over and starts buying process over, this time with my affiliate link (which I think is unlikely, no?)

what am I missing?

With the "steal" method, you're counting on the user to think that it just works that way, or that they made a mistake or something, so that they'll "start over" in your popover.

Unless there is a way to link to the same place they clicked on with your own affiliate link, which is something I've wondered about and not seen a clear statement here about it.

What a pity! I thought we could pop over the check out page in some way, just like it is possible with clickbank?

There is really no way of doing so, yes?

You do want to pop over the checkout page if you're going for the steal.

If you can't do it with clickbank, use other networks.

Yes, I want to pop over the check out page, but how do I do that? As for clickbank, I know how to do it, most of the times, but what about those other offers by inhouse affiliates? How to change the affiliate link in a way that you pop over the checkout page?

You need to go through the purchase process and find the url that the order form shows on. Bid on that one.

Yes, I got that bid. That's discussed here, but what I haven't found is how you pop over the check out site. Just to clarify...

I go to product.com and then press on product.com/purchase-here . I bid on that. Done, no problem. That's not complex and is discussed here often. But...then I want to pop over the purchase-here site with MY AFFILIATE link in it. With clickbank it's shown in rosalind garner's video somewhere here in the forum, but what about others, like inhouse affiliate programs that only give out one general affiliate link that sends the user to the landing page not the check out page?

You want to bid on the check out page url.

Are you talking about cookie stuffing? That's a whole different animal and you can get in trouble with merchants if you go down that road.
