Default Month 2 questions

Couple questions and clarification on month 2.

I have not started this yet. But I just deposited 1k into TV so I plan on using month 2 to get my feet wet. I just need some clarification because technically I have not set up a single campaign yet.

1.Is this method still being used with success?

2.Have there been any added variables and/or techniques since this method was first posted?

3. I read that there was an issue with MT and length of urls, is this still an issue?
(I may not be understanding this correctly because I don?t see the same thing from what I read..)

What I mean is that <http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?fr...oogle_Ads_FREE> link is my target URL correct? Which means when user clicks <http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?fr...oogle_Ads_FREE> link they will be redirected to:

<https://ssl.clickbank.net/order/orderform.html?time=1242744438&vvvv=66726565676f6f 676c65&item=1&titl=Get_Google_Ads_FREE&vvar=&name= &emal=&ctry=&zipc=&>

where my ad will pop up, correct?

OR is this the target link that will trigger my ad?:

<https://ssl.clickbank.net/order/orderform.html?time=1242744438&vvvv=66726565676f6f 676c65&item=1&titl=Get_Google_Ads_FREE&vvar=&name= &emal=&ctry=&zipc=&>

5. Btw how do I capture <http://www.clickbank.net/sell.cgi?fr...oogle_Ads_FREE> full url link before it redirects to
<https://ssl.clickbank.net/order/orderform.html?time=1242744438&vvvv=66726565676f6f 676c65&item=1&titl=Get_Google_Ads_FREE&vvar=&name= &emal=&ctry=&zipc=&>.

Internet explorer use to have a stop button where I could easily stop the redirection before it redirects. Then I could copy it, but I don?t see the stop button anymore on I.E. 7.06?

6. Lastly, is it me or am I really misunderstanding this month. I mean if I use TV, how many users will actually navigate to this link and click through to it so my ad can pop up. It seems to me that I will get very little to no traffic? Definitely extremely targeted though.

Let me know?

Thanks
Wayne

Yes, all months are, if they don't work i'll replace them.

Unless posted already in these forums, then no.

Yes, but I can't see the whole url you're using...

The url you bid on will trigger the ad.

Depends on how many people are buying it. Don't limit yourself to just my example, think beyond that to all the other products out there too.

This month as written does not work 100% on clickbank products. If you bid on the checkout link then your popup will not overwrite the previous cookie on the users computer (or even add your cookie), so assuming the user completes the checkout process, you won't get credited.

The only way this can work on CB products is if you pop the main sales page, then the user abandons the main browser window, and navigates to the checkout from your popped sales page, which is obviously highly unlikely.

This is a known issue and is already discussed in this forum somewhere, but it's easy to test and prove yourself (as I've done several times, to be sure). The basic problem is that Clickbank "sell" links do not set cookies, only sales page hoplinks do. And even if you pop the salespage, it's too late because the user is already at the checkout which has been pre-loaded with the previous affiliates cookie, or no cookie if there is no affiliate.

So for this month, you're better off looking at other merchants. Good luck with that!

I guess you could stuff the cookie somehow...

Tried that once, got my account terminated. Besides, by the time the user is on the checkout page it's too late, this would only work if you stuffed the cookie on the sales page and if you do that, firstly there would be no need to cookie-stuff, and secondly it's not month 2 anymore.

Ok sounding a little confusing now.

Can anyone give me an example of what works?

Thanks

Hi table32,

Did you manage to get around that problem eventually?

Bump ...

Anyone can shed some light on month 2?

TV appears to be the only network that accepts this method with CB products but since it's pop-under it won't really work.

Anybody got this method to work with CJ or other CPS affiliate programs on TV / other networks?

Thanks.

I'm confused as well. I could use some help with this month's method as well. It seems as though we can't use this with CJ, Linskshare, Clickbank, etc. So where do we use this method? Has anyone been successful with this?

There's about 1,000 CPA networks that this works with. You can sign up for mine too and it'll work, (wotogepa.com).
