Default economi hosting for tracking software

Hi guys,

I'm just starting with paid traffic and I'm looking for cheapest VPS hosting option.

I understand that I need a vps for prosper202 or cpvlab, but I've only had the shared hosting accounts so far so I have no insight in what I really need regarding the vps.

What I learned so far is that I would probably need fully managed VPS with cpanel included, and in that case there should be minimum 1GB dedicated RAM included in the package because of cpanel. But the fact is that I don't know if I really need cpanel, I just suppose that I need it since I'm familiar with it from shared hosting.

Such packages with cPanel and Power Panel included, and 1 GB RAM, cost minimum $50 per month, and I'd like to start with something cheaper, if there are such options.

If there's no cpanel included I'd still need some user friendly interface to install software, mysql databases, cron jobs, configure various things etc.

Some good tips would be highly appreciated.

Depending on what kind of traffic you are producing, you don't have to have a VPS to start. Do you own CPVLab yet? If you are starting with Prosper202, you can get a cheap plan here to get your feet wet: Cheap Reliable Web Hosting that includes cpanel, etc.

Otherwise, you will have to pay those higher amounts to get a fully managed VPS.

I'm about to purchase CPVlab since it seems easier to use than prosper202.
CPVLab seems to be good investment, but for someone who is just starting like me, paying $50-70 monthly for VPS is too much, especially while I'm learning and not making any money yet.

I have no idea at all how much traffic I'm going to have (not on the higher side for sure), but I understood that shared hosting is out of question. Is it possible at all to use CPVLab on shared hosting? Thanks for pointing to hostgator plans, I already have their shared hosting 'business plan', but can that work for CPVLab at all?

Could you give me some numbers? What level of hosting (shared/vps) would be enough for what levels of traffic?

If you are set to buy CPVLab, please use our $50 off coupon found in my signature.

As for VPS, one other option is to use Prohosters.com at $25/month. They are a high quality host that will meet your needs.

Recently I made a test: I was curious how the exact same campaign performs on a shared hosting vs dedicated.
I had around 800-1000 impressions/day/hosting, my tracking tool was the cool excel
And I was surprised: the campaign on the shared hosting had more impression slightly (this makes me think about the speed of the server), had around 40% more conversions.

The conclusion: if you are starting out with PPV, get your feet wet first, learn how this advertising works...use shared hosting
(otherwise you will give up before you have consistent success)

What can I get from Prohosters.com?

The $25 package looks pretty naked, do they offer addons (cpanel...), for how much?

I am not sure, you can contact them and ask. For the price, it is a solid VPS starter. If you are willing to pay more, you will get more speed, power, etc.

Hi, I have installed prosper202 on hostgator in baby plan. But, it did not work properly....it don't generate tracking code.

Are you really sure that hostgator works here?
and someone knows that number of impressions they can handle??
