Default No Vomba Pop Ups?

Hey guys

I'm new to the forum and am just in the process of trying my first PPV campaign having set up an account with Media Traffic.

I've installed Vomba on a second PC to try and get and idea what other advertisers are doing but don't get any pop-ups for typically competitive keyphrases and domains such as loans, insurance etc

Could anyone suggest what the problem may be?

Thanks

p.s I am based in the UK as I read this could be a problem for international users outside the US, UK, Canada etc

are your campaigns UK traffic based campaigns? If not, do you use proxy?

there is obviously less traffic in the UK than in the US. and sometimes a campaign (depending on the keywords, demographic, etc) needs 1-3 days to reach up it's "full speed"...

Hi qasy

Thanks for your reply

Yes I am planning on targeting UK websites and my IP address is UK based.

I input some of my target domains into the media traffic campaign setup and can see that people are bidding on them as the CPV is far above the $0.02 minimum on some of them, but when I visit those domains on my testing computer I get zero adverts.

Has no one else had similar problems with Vomba?

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I installed Vomba and am not getting any popups AT ALL.

No I never managed to get any to come up. I tried installing on 2 different PC's but neither of them showed any ads even when I could see people were bidding on the domains inside the Media Traffic control panel.

Has anyone else had this problem/managed to solve it?

I have. I'm new to this as well, have installed a few ad pop programs & have never seen an ad.

I wonder if my PC, or a program is 1. Blocking them somehow in some setting I don't know about 2. Something within a program is not understanding something it needs to, to allow the pop.

One thing I do notice is that every time I instal something like Vomba, I always get a pop up box asking me something about allowing flash to access some file or setting I don't understand.

The things is, I do get views from my campaigns & I use CPVlab to track. There's a setting in it called "Engage Rate" that you can set to see if someone stays on your landing page for X amount of seconds. For example 3 seconds.

I've seen people stay on my landing pages through the setting. So even though I can't see the pops myself, that gives me proof the it's real traffic & people are looking at the landing pages because bots only stay for milliseconds, not 3+ seconds like real people do.

I know it's frustrating not to see what you're paying for but it's more important to know it's real traffic, track it & use it.

I know that doesn't make it any better in one way, but I hope what i'm sharing at least gives you some piece of mind about what you're attempting to accomplish.

I'm having this exact problem too. I have vomba installed for a week now and still no ads!! I have L.I software installed and I get ads from this all the time. Can anyone with experience with this give some insight please? Maybe it could be the 2 adware I have installed don't work together. Anyway if someone could shed some light that would be great.

Thanks

If anyone still wants to know why vomba might not be showing ads, I spoke to my account manager and he tells me the software will not work on any operating systems prior to 2005.

I am running XP so thats me screwed unless I get vista from somewhere
