Default No Traffic with Media Traffic.

I have launched my first 2 test campaigns with Media Traffic and have found that I am not getting even a trickle of traffic. I have spent a whopping total of $0.105.

Are we better off bidding on keywords rather than URLs here? On my target outbid report I show that I am out bid by some very generic keywords. Say I have bid on the URLs:

myproductdirect.com
myproductdirect.com/thisproduct/page
directformyproduct.com
etc.

Lets say that the target outbid report shows that I am being outbid by the keyword direct. Would I be better off just bidding on the keyword and raising bids or should I just raise the bids on the target URLs? It seems kind of odd to me because the person bidding on the keyword may not even be trying to target the same thing that I am. I guess all the network is worried about is the highest bidder so everything else goes out the window?

sometimes keywords outperform urls, it all depends on the campaign and the traffic - i know, i obvious .. for example, i've always done better on auto insurance with keywords for some reason, but most of my fan clubs are running over url targets. there are many variables of course, but if your gut's telling you to go with urls to begin with and you want more traffic, raise the bids on those first and see if you can reach your target spend. if you still aren't getting the traffic you want then start digging into the keywords and expand from there.

I matched bids on all the URLs in one of the campaigns. I'm starting to see a few more impressions now. I've made it to $0.290 for spending. I will probably need to start looking at increasing the CTR of my lander before extending the campaign further. I will sit back and see how this does tomorrow and maybe throw in an alternate lander to split test.

In the other campaign I would have to raise bids to $0.105 to match on most of my target URLs. I may have to get creative and throw in a few different keywords and search out some different URLs.

Taking it slow and steady to get a feel for it!

IMO MT doesn't have as much traffic as I'd like, but it just means you need to get more creative

There are certainly high traffic urls there, but you have to be careful with them. Sometimes campaigns just don't take off. Do what you suggested yourself and find more keywords/urls to bid on and see if they have any traffic.
