Default Viewable Window Size - 775 x 400

Anyone else notice that the actual area "above the fold" in leadimpact pops is really only 775 by 400?? It's still only about 433 if the user doesn't have the visible hotbar activated.

And I've been optimizing landers for a 775x575 viewing area...

Yes.

With LeadImpact, this viewable vertical area size of 400 has to be taken into account when creating your text to be seen above the fold.

NO WAAAAAY

I actually emailed the support of LI about this.

Me:
Hello, what's exactly the size of the landing page that i should make ?
They:
Hi Vasko,

Our ads are displayed in an 800x600 window that is your website. This window can be fully maximized by the user. The user can also scroll within the 800x600 size. There is no specific size because we take the user directly to your website. Please let us know if we can help you with anything else.
Maybe i'm wrong. I understand that my website will be visible 800x600.

If i'm wrong this explains why my last (very creative in my opinion) campaign was a losing one.

Right now i will make the landing page 775x400 to test it.

775x400 is more accurate. When they say it's 800x600, they are including the toolbars, the "this is a hotbar advertisement" at the bottom of the page, the url bar and everything else.

I run hotbar on my other computer and it's actually much smaller. For internet explorer on windows 7 it was somewhere around 350x650 for me.

Either way, I've tested many different sizes, big and small. I find the size that converts best for me is 750x500 and 750x550. As long as you make your ad enticing enough, they will scroll down and click.

i'm trying to view my ads at the moment but they're not popping up, in fact, no ads are popping up at all - I have a LeadImpact campaign going and I have hotbar installed, but no popups - is there any way to force hotbar to pop an ad each time so i can see what it looks like to the customer?

You should be getting pop ups. Try going to a site that someone is definitely bidding on like Netflix.com.

well, i've tried netflix and a few more, but still not getting pops - i'm in the uk, but I'm using a US proxy ip via a VPN, but still doesn't work - i thought maybe it was a location issue, but that doesn't seem to be the case.

i've checked that the hotbar addon is installed correctly - it seems to be - the hotbar itself appears at the top of the browser in IE, the hotbar icon appears in my tray - i even made sure that my antivirus (MSE) allowed this program - so I'm really stumped as to why i'm getting no pops

I have also had problems with LI showing ads. After I re-installed and uninstalled Hotbar and Windows XP numerous times, I finally emailed LI support. They had me send them a few specifications about my computer. Still no ads.

I recently tried to install it again and got an error message from the Hotbar homepage. Maybe they are having issues.

I emailed support again and they said "we are working on it"

If you guys are able to actually see typical LI landers from the adware.....could you post a screen shot, because all I know for the LI LP is this:

CPVDen Tools - Preview Popper

That's what I would assume they are, is there alot of extra stuff on the actual pop ups? Thanks.

Jeremy
