Default Getting a Campaign Reviewed while "Deactivated"?

So I'd like to submit a campaign for review and then be sure it's not going to start running and blow through money while I'm away from the computer. Can I get a campaign approved while it's deactivated so I can just activate it when I get back online? Or do something similar?

Joel,

Once you put the campaign up, deactivate it and then reactivate when you're ready.

LeadImpact is somewhat slow at approving campaigns, sometimes it can take 1/2 a day, sometimes it can take 3 days -- you just never know which it will be when you submit a campaign.

I've had some that I deactivated immediately after submitting the campaign, just so I could start the campaign when I was ready. Once I reactivated, it seemed like it was approved sooner, but it's difficult to tell.

So what you're saying is, they won't approve a deactivated campaign to run?

The issue is that I want to be *at my computer* when the traffic flow starts. With Adwords you could just put a campaign as "active" but on pause, and it would get approved that way.

What about just setting the budget to $5 and then upping the budget when I want the traffic to start again?

That's perfect.

With Lead Impact, their approval times are unpredictable, so it's difficult to really know if they will approve it while deactivated.

The $5 budget sounds like a great way to get it going, without a major commitment.

Some traffic sources don't have this option, but a lot of them have a day parting feature (like TV & LI). Keep your campaign active, but deactivate the current day plus another 3 days or so...

This way your campaign is considered 'active' and will stay in the approval queue.
