Default Split Testing Landing Pages

Hi there, I am currently using Google Optimizer to split test my landing pages with different headlines, images etc.

Just wondering if anyone else has a better option for split testing other than Google Optimizer?

Cheers, Joel.

Default Landing page split testing

Okay, so using the redirect script from Prosper 202 seems to conflict with the Google Optimizer script and it won't track the conversion page.

In this case the conversion page when the user clicks through would be http://mydomain.com/out.php

The out.php has the redirect script from Prosper202:

<?php // ------------------------------------------------------------------- //
// Tracking202 PHP Redirection, created on Sun Mar, 2011
//
// This PHP code is to be used for the following landing page.
// http://mydomian.com/
// // -------------------------------------------------------------------
if (isset($_COOKIE['tracking202outbound'])) {
$tracking202outbound = $_COOKIE['tracking202outbound']; } else {
$tracking202outbound = 'http://mydomain.com/tracking202/redirect/lp.php?lpip=blah='.$_COOKIE['tracking202pci'];
}
header('location: '.$tracking202outbound);
?>

So this is the conversion page, but the tracking script from Google optimizer seems to conflict with the redirect script from Prosper202 and won't work.

Any ways around this issue?

That code you pasted is your outgoing PHP redirect that goes to the offer. You need an incoming redirect that serves as the destination URL for your campaigns. This will rotate evenly among your different landing pages. Just copy and paste the code from here.

Cheers,
Josh.

random landing page rotator:

<?php
$urls[] = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/lp1.html';
$urls[] = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/lp2.html';
$urls[] = 'http://www.yourdomain.com/lp3.html';

$rand = rand(1,count($urls));
header("Location: ".$urls[$rand-1]);
?>

Random is good too... certainly shorter code. But remember you need a large number of impressions for the randomness to become relatively equal, whereas the Prosper script will evenly rotate them 1,2,3,1,2,3,... etc.

According to my experience even 30-50 impressions are distributed evenly with the random code.
(or I just had luck )

Thank you all! I was also using the Google optimizer but it gave me a lot of problems, I'm glad there are alternatives.
