Default Direct Linking vs Landing Page

What do you guys think?

From what i've tried, it all depends on the offer and urls/keywords, some work better with landing page, others with direct link. I love when the merchant has a good re sizable LP!

I would have to agree with what you said, some work better with direct link and some with a landing page. What I like to do is look at the offer and then resize my browser to 750x550 and see what it looks like. A lot of times the call to action is not visible which either tells me.
  1. Look for another offer
  2. Build a landing page

Of course, like everything in CPV marketing you then have to test to see what works best.

Default Seen both work

I have seen both Direct Linking and Landing Pages work for many different people. It seems like people who are successful Direct Linking usually have more targetted traffic where the demographic is presold.

For broader traffic the landing page acts as the sales person informing the traffic and therefore preselling them on the offer.

I personally prefer Direct Linking not just because it doesn't require a landing page but also because I feel if the customer has less pages to click through there is less of a chance of losing them. Of course it really depends on how you test and no two people will likely have the same results.

The main thing there is definitely not one right way to do it.

Talking

It depends on the offer......some offers already have a PPV type of landing page already. I found 2 last night that do actually, so testing them now. It's good to have your own LP because it allows more diversity and testing. I do think both can make good money, you just have to know how to target your customers by testing a lot. Goodluck!

I actually don't pay a ton of attention to offer page size, as long as you can see something interesting in the allotted window size, it can work.

I think people get too caught up trying to make the whole LP fit in the 750x550 size. People will scroll if they have a good reason to
