Default Hello!

Hello everyone!

I'm a full-time enterprise app developer who knows a few affiliates IRL.
I've even made some affiliate related apps for them (written them apps that grabs stuff from CJ API etc and simple click tracking platform and contextual ad rotators).

I'm trying to learn more about the business side of this business (as opposed to the technical side). Trying to see how far someone with decent coding chops can go in this business.

Hey Robert,

It's great to see someone else from Ireland here, I don't know of anyone else from Ireland working in this business. I'm fairly new to CPV but have experience in other areas of affiliate marketing. You will find tons of good stuff on this forum and if I can help you with anything shoot me a message.

welcome to the forum!

technical acumen goes a long way in this business. i'm a programmer too and have been a fulltime marketer going on 6 years now. don't get caught up in over thinking things though as far as making money is concerned. sometimes simple is best.

Thanks!

And @Papa yeah sometimes I tend to over think stuff but really iny me experience it's not the technical solutions that are hard to create but business ones. I used to have some success with an older system that converted very well using LeadImpact and DirectCPV but now it seems like the traffic quality has gone waaaaaaaay down. I think I will start having to investigate getting a TV account. I hear they are NOT easy to get hehe. There is some really good info on these forums though good job

I wouldn't use Direct CPV at the current moment myself, you are dead on in your impression.
