Default Who Gets the Traffic?

OK, this has been messing with my head for a while as I try to figure out how to bid.

Advertiser 1 is the top bidder for "freezer" at .04

Advertiser 2 is the top bidder for "freezer unit" at .03

Advertiser 3 is the top bidder for "store.com/freezer-unit.php" at .02

When a visitor goes to http://store.com/freezer-unit.php which advertiser gets it?

Why would it have to be different for each network?

each network has totally different algos. it's all in-house proprietary dev. this is what racks my brain with ppv sometime, so much to learn with the diff networks intricacies.

It would win because it's the highest amount?

Is there anywhere on the MT site where they discuss this? I haven't seen anything.

yes, the higher bid with the root word.

I have that issue a lot with my own campaigns.
Where a short keyword phrase will replace longtail keywords all the time.
The short also wins at equal bids.

Joel, you can see it when you go into the bid section - or 'Target Outbid Report' as they call it. They list out your keywords and then in the next section have 'affecting bid' and you can see what over rides you're bid.

I don't think AdOn work like that but then I've never asked. I know that when I hit make my bid no 1 for all keywords that all are updated based on the bids that sit to the right of my keyword, not based on some other related or 'root' keyword. I think the same goes for Traffic Vance.

Thank you guys for clearing that up.

Do any of the other networks have a comparable target outbid report?
