Default Where to find urls for auto insurance

Hi guys,

These are quite basic questions but here goes,

How do you find urls to use in your campaigns?

Do you use Coaches scraper, alexa, goggle?

Also, why is it so bad to bid on keywords?

Thanks for your help

Matt

You can bid on keywords. There's a big list of urls in the main forum here for various niches.

My Sources for URLs:

Alexa, Google, Yahoo, Quantcast, MSN, Social websites (Stumbleupon), Magazine Print Ads, Newspaper Print Ads, Television. Basically anywhere that gets traffic that would attract a certain type of visitor.

What I did was to find or make tools that allow me to get URLs from these sources. We have URL gathering tools here in CPV Coach.

Some even get back to basics and just cut & paste the first few pages of results from the major search engines.

Lots of options.

I use Affportal to get all of my URLs. I use the Adwords Keyword tool, and my own head to get my keywords and then I use the Affportal scraper to get my URLs scraped.

You can definitely bid on keywords, the reason most people say to start with URL's is because they typically have lower volume, and you can test a lot more of them then you can with keywords.

There are certain keywords that will open the floodgates and kill your budget before you even get to test anything. Don't be afraid of using keywords, just make sure you are using them properly.

If you have a really high volume keyword - stick it in it's own campaign with a low budget and see what it does for you.
