Default What should I tell this guy?

I emailed an affiliate over at CJ asking if I could run the offer on contextual traffic. Here was his reply:

"What do you mean by contextual? "

What should I tell him? If he doesn't know, I guess they probably don't care Or are there some sort of rules that govern all CJ programs?

Coach, wondering if you have tried CJ products? Has anyone used contextual traffic to CJ? Are there strict TOS against this?

CJ hates this traffic. Ask Jonathan Van Clute how much they like it...LOL

(He made a big post on his blog about he was doing $2k net per day, turns out it was with CJ and I don't think they ended up paying him because the traffic was contextual).

However when I get a moron AM who doesn't know his or her own industry, you have to spell it out. Tell them this:

"I buy traffic from places like Zango, Media Traffic, TrafficVance etc. I want to know it this type of traffic is ok with your network and your merchants."

Get it in writing/email if they say yes. SO you can fall back on something when someone who knows what it is, denies payment to you.

I will try that, thanks. I emailed the merchant AM (does CJ even have AM's?). I will post his reply here.

Here was his reply:

"Yes. This is okay with us."

Not even sure if this is a lucrative offer or not, but will give it a try.

If tracking and payment is through CJ, DONT DO IT. You will not get paid and your account might go bye bye. And you still have to pay for the traffic.

Jonathan talked to CJ when he was doing it and they, at first, said he could do it if the merchant was OK with it. Then they quickly reversed that and said no way would they accept that traffic.

You have been warned.

Yup, that's the story. Be careful because they'll change their mind when it's payment time.

You can, but get it in writing from him and tell him you need it in writing from the merchant too.
