Default What should i learn from this mistake? 289 targets, 850 views, 0 conversions?

I just set up a campaign and i thought it would work because i am doing very well with it on ppc. It is an acai free trial campaign. I have a landing page that converts VERY well on the google, yahoo, msn and ask search network.

SO... I took my best keywords, my domains i was bidding on and found quite a few more domains related to acai or weight loss. I got about 289 targets, spent 51 today and had about 8 to 900 views and no conversions.

Does this mean free trials do not work? Does this mean dont put so many targets in at a time? Does this mean i havent tested long enough? I know i should be learning something here im just not sure what yet. Could someone please help me out and offer some insight? Thank you

jake

oh and just to provide a little more info.

I dont want to go into too much detail about my LP but it has an acai and colon product combo and it generates about 200% roi with ppc. I copied this directly out of Media traffic. Although i bid on over 200 targets as you can see only these got the traffic.

acai 710 $44.02 0
truthaboutabs.com 162 $15.10 0 +Countries +Dates
weightwatchers.com 3 $0.16 0 +Countries +Dates
mayoclinic.com 2 $0.03 0 +Countries +Dates
colon cleanse 2 $0.05 0 +Countries +Dates
acai.com 1 $0.06 0 +Countries +Dates
diet.com 1 $0.02 0 +Countries +Dates
puristat.com 1 $0.02 0 +Countries +Dates
Total 882 $59.46 0

How many clicks though?

Does your landing page look something like this?

Assuming you have found good domain target URLs for your campaign, I would start deleting targets that have not had a sale and have reached a cost of 1/2 of the commission of the offer.

So in your example, I would delete the target "acai" with $44.02 spent and maybe the "truthaboutabs.com" target, then let the others run.

But if truthaboutabs.com is a good target for your demographic, I'd go into quantcast.com and find some related sites for url targets to bid on in the campaign and then see if those play out.

Sometimes you have to get all the losers out of the way, then you'll start finding some winners that trickle in -- unfortunately, some of those losers will eat up the budget very quickly.

Sometimes you get lucky and have a few targets convert right away, but that's been rare for me to have it start that way. I usually find a few url targets that convert and then I try to find more sites that are similar to those that had conversions.

Also, if your landing page is doing well with PPC, my experience has been that it will likely do well with PPV.
