Default Technically Challenged - HELP!

I'm setting up a campaign and the offer network I'm using has a tab that says "add pixel"

What do I do with this?

Feel free to talk down to me in your explanation I'm tech challenged.

BTW I use Prosper202 for tracking if that makes any difference.

Thanks
Tom

Hi Tom,

Add a pixel, means you can have your own pixel place on the offers thank you page. Doing so allows you to track exact keywords or urls that converted to a sale for you. That allows you to optimize your campaigns, getting rid of the budget draining keywords and keeping the performing ones only.

You can add your p202's conversion pixel in there. But what I do instead is create a file with all the pixels I use (p202, google, yahoo, msn, etc.), then use that file as my conversion pixel to submit to the cpa networks.

That's a great idea Eve.

I love it.

To provide a good non technical answer more info is needed: What knowledge do you already have about what a pixel is, specifically around aff marketing?

Also:
Coach: do you use pixels? Seems redundant with the way your tracker works, unless I am missing something... I suppose if you don't trust the merchant or network, or if you want instant feedback, it would help? I like instant feedback. Is it possible to use pixels with the PPCCT?

Let's go with as non-technical as possible.

The only thing I know about pixels is that I need a good 1080p tv.

So in other words I'm as dumb as stump on the subject.

Please fill in the Blanks....Once upon a time.....blank section.... and they lived happily every after with all their little pixel friends.

(Was that too much?)

A pixle is a piece of code that is placed by the affiliate manager or yourself or the merchant on their order confirmation page.

The code reads in the information about the clicker and if it's your clicker you get credit for a sale.

Im also deeply challenge about this pixel coding issue. Let's say for Neverblue network, which one of the network I got. Can you run to me step by step (in plain lingo) assuming you're gonna install this pixel in your campaign? I tried to read Neverblue's instructions but I just get more confused. Pls help!
