Progress Update
It's been around a week since I started getting down and dirty with PPV. The first few campaigns proved to be pretty time consuming as I tried to figure out how the tools and the user interfaces. Now, I can pretty much build a new campaign in around 30 minutes (if I concentrate on the task that is).
So far, I think I've created close to 20 campaigns, and I think not one is in the black. I started off using Clicksor, and then I stopped totally after I got absolutely zero conversions with that. I wonder how they manage to get such "awesome" traffic in their network.
Then, I moved on to MT and have only been using them since. I can't get an account with Traffic Vance because I'm from Singapore. Anyway, MT did provide more conversions, but I'm still not profitable yet.
This is how I go about building my campaigns: - Look for CPA offers that pay above $3.
- Keyword research on Google. Get relevant keywords and dump them into Coach's tool to generate URLs from the search engines. Depending on the niche, the number of keywords I use could range from 30+ to a few hundreds.
- Sieve through the URLs generated, and upload them to MT. My smallest campaign has around 300+ URLs, while my biggest one has 3000+.
- Let the campaigns start running, and get rid of any non-converting URLs. (myspace, wikipedia, etc)
Is that the right procedure?
All kinds of input and suggestions are most welcome!
