Default PPV and Ringtones

So i figure with this ringtone hype over on ppc-coach, I'd stir some talk up here.

Has anyone tried ringtones with ppv yet? I took a bunch of artists and tried bidding on their name with custom landing landing pages (that said "$artist Ringtones" at the top) and burnt through 50 bucks like it was nothing, with no conversions.

Anyone make this work?

What you think Coach?

yes, I made about 25% of my profits last month on ringtones....

don't ask me how, it took a while to get them going, but I will say I'm bidding on mainly url's and there is no competition on these huge volume urls.

keep testing.

right but how do you bid on them? Do you target the artist / songs and have unique landers for each? Or do you just pop the cell submit offer?

Harry, I am curious, are you making individual landing pages for each of the URLs you are bidding on or are you direct linking or using a single landing page? I'm thinking of making a landing page for something I'm thinking of targeting, one for each URL, but I don't know if I would be wasting time. From what I've heard before, ringtones and ppv don't go together but this thread seems like maybe those people just weren't doing it right. Any suggestions you have I'd love to hear.

drew who told you that?

(they're full of shit whoever it was...)

Don't overcomplicate things. You don't really need landing pages. You can put the merchants landing page right in the pop up window! I have made one landing page for a test so far out of 100's of tested campaigns. (It failed btw). Now I only do the direct linking way. It's just easier to do and faster and less steps for the surfer.

but do you bid on other ringtone pages or do you target artists / songs? i mean traffic is probably better for artists / songs, but converts better on ringtone urls...

I use the merchants lander, that way I can whip out 25-30 campaigns on the one lander in literally a few minutes.

I'll pop everything. I dumped 10,000 keywords and urls into a ringtone campaign and I was suprised at which ones converted. Pissed about $300 with no conversions to find the golded keywords/urls.

95% of what I launch is shit, so for me the key to this ppv game is continually launching. I spent about 7 hours the other day just building campaigns on a handful of landers with just 1 network...

To give you an idea, my total spend with traffic vance is now closing in on $7k...

You need to constantly be launching new campaigns.

It literally is the more shit you throw at the wall, the more that is going to stick, but most is just going to slide off and hit the floor. This is how Harry is rocking ppv and ppc, he throws more shit then anyone else! (and as you throw more you learn how to throw better, plus with some guidance you can avoid pulling a muscle while throwing...lol)

(kind gross analogy but so true with ppv).

Getting traffic is easy, converting it is the key.
