Default Possible way to cut your losses?

So I had an idea today and I wanted to run it past you guys (and girls)...

So let's say I have a cpa offer I want to test on mediatraffic. Normally, I would do a direct link and let her fly.

But what if I signed up for an advertising network that paid $1 per 1000 impressions. Then instead of direct linking to the offer, I iframed it and below the offer (below the fold), I put 3 of these cpm ads. The user most likely won't see them, but the impressions will count.

So now I am sending .01 impressions from mediatraffic to my offer and if it doesn't convert, I am only losing 0.007 instead of 0.01. This probably doesn't sound like much, but if you throw 1000 impressions at an offer each day you would theoretically get back $3. (30% if you bid 0.01)

I wasn't a math major in college so I could be way off here. But with some clever cloaking and a legitimate site (in case the cpm network asks about your traffic), you could maybe save some money when testing.

So what do you think?

Ps. wasn't an english major either so pardon the grammar and spelling

it could work. the advertiser might be pissed when none of the ads convert though.

Make sure they're ok with the traffic source first. Otherwise you won't get paid.
