Default Negotiating Deals With Your Managers

So I got my first phone call about working a deal on an offer that I've done pretty well with. Basically it is on me now to crunch some numbers and come back with a new payout number based on the how much traffic I think I can produce.

Any tips from the veteran negotiators out there?

Usually it's a matter of beating any other payout out there by a good margin. Typically a network will have up to a 25% margin to play with so use that when considering how much to ask for and not be looked as ridiculous. That means leave the network a bit as they do actually earn that money in dealing with crazy merchants and chasing down payments for you.
