Default Most you've bid on a target?

This is my first day on this forum, figured I'd spark up a convo.

I see people afraid of going past the .01 or .015 bids on some of these networks. That's child's play. I regular bid a nickel or dime on some pop-ups, and I've seen pops going for .50 cents on some urls I bid on (but I dare not be the top bidder on those), and even up to a dollar. Obviously something is working for them, I just don't want to spend the money to find out what.

That said, if you're a newb don't attempt bidding high just because I said so. If you do, make sure your tracking is order so at least you're collecting data.

One thing to remember, is they are using an auction or not. So those people that are bidding very high are doing it to keep you out of their spots. You could read higher than them for about an hour and watch their bids drop.

In this post I was referring to trafficvance, and I believe what you bid is what you pay.

I've noticed that too, makes things interesting on the high bid keywords, kinda sucks when the guy below drops his bid and you get hung out to dry!

I just noticed that post I wrote makes no sense. I was using dragon naturally speaking and it mucked it up.

To answer the question -- the most I bid was 90 cents so I could outbid the person at 89 cents.

That URL didn't work out, but my budget was set for only $40 and I was curious.

I've seen bids near $2 but never tried playing the game at that level.

I'm sure some are just bullying others out.

What networks are you guys seeing these high bids? The most I've seen is around .065, and that was on Media Traffic.
