It really is niche specific, but there is some global traffic, just not as much as ppc.

I think you really have to find out what those countries like. I've found a few niches that have OK traffic. Still slowly chipping away at this.

My problem is the lack of diverse offers to promote to these countries. CPA networks don't have a lot to offer. Affiliate networks like CJ don't like this traffic source.

So what are our options? In-house programs?

Here's a little tip. Some of my biggest earners are coming from private deals where I googled the product, found it's in-house affiliate program and applied for it. These are the ones that have way less competition because the main networks don't have them.

They work very well if you can get a solid company backing it.

Are these products? Or CPA offers? Anything to look for in particular?

Get out of the CPA mindset. Go pay per sale and bid on the "order now" page.

I'm a little confused about the "orner now" page. Maybe I'm missing something obvious but how does this tie in with the in-house affiliate program. Can you provide an example?

Coach, are you saying to pop the offer for siteA.com when siteA.com/order.html is viewed...?

seems like cookie stuffing...

Please expand.

Thanks!

No its not cookie stuffing.

say you are promoting Bank of America home loans. You would have your ad appear on the "apply for a home loan" page of all the competitors to Bank of America.

Here is an example of what Coach is probably talking about:

Hydranetworks had a few offers in Jan/Feb for people to get "free" Sony Video Cameras.

We bid on specific models AND the order basket at Amazon. Whenever someone would have those combinations, our ad would pop and say "want this camera for free"?

I think you'll find this type out-of-the-box thinking along with creating your own ad vs. the ad being used by the CPA network can dramatically improve your results.

Also, finding private deals vs. using networks is extremely lucrative. Sometimes, you can by default become a strategic partner with them.

This is where you drive so much traffic to them they get lazy and depend upon you. Then, after a while, you come and say we are partners or I'll take my traffic elsewhere.

Another technique is to get a higher payout in commissions vs other affiliates then out-bid everyone. Then goto the outbid affiliates and say drive traffic thru my affiliate link and I'll give you a higher cut. Poof, instant two-tier affiliate system
