Default installing adwares to monitor competition?

i've seen the threads that talk about using a virtual machine to install adware.

and i have vmware running with windows xp.

my problem is that i just can't get any of the adware to install period.

leadimpact: i went to hotbar, tried to access their content, downloaded the installer and got some error like "not a valid windows installer' something or other.

disabled my kaspersky, got the same thing...

mediatraffic: went to vomba, downloaded their installer. it wont install on a virtual machine!

traffic vance: went to gamevance...went to install their software. only one game they have even makes u install it...went to the install page, clicked install. and it redirects me back to their home page as if i've logged out of the site...

it's crazy. i've never worked this hard to try and get ads on my computer!

anyone got any suggestions?

thanks!

went to clickpotato, installed kangobox....i had actually done this before and uninstalled it because i wasn't seeing any ads...did it again just now...still not seeing any ads.

went to arcadeweb, registered, activated account, uploaded photo, downloaded software, installed it. started browsing around. no ads yet...

i've done this in the past and immediately started seeing ads. do the networks display ads differently (less aggressive) now?

mediatraffic. don't have another computer at the moment just to install this so i guess i'll let it slide...maybe i'll try installing it on my windows vps here at somepoint.

I've installed them on a VPS so that I don't have to use my own PC. Not worth the risk!

Last month I had a crash due to a virus and I had to spend half a day researching through bleepingcomputer dot com to get it repaired.

Where did you get the gamevance software link? I am having the same problem as another member, when I created a gamevance account and logon, upload photo and try to download, it just kicks me off and sends me to their homepage. Any ideas?
