Smile I'm about to start my CPV journey

Hello there fellas! This is Gedeon, a part-time webmaster since 2008. Used to promote adult with SEO, gallery submissions. That kind of biz now are suffering big time (free content everywhere) and decided to go the mainstream way. I'm having success with PPD/CPA/PPI these days.

A couple months ago I've discovered PPV as a possible traffic source. Now I have the capital to give it a try, I am thinking about trying LeadImpact for the first time.

The question is where to start. Which sponsor, what kind of offers to push, how to install the adwares on secondary pc's to see what the competition is doing. I'm serious about it - I want to learn and master this traffic source.

Looking for some input on this guys, even if you have some spare time we can talk on skype to exchange ideas, or know each other better.

Thanks for reading

Thanks for the kind words mate. Well, let's get it started. First of all, I'd like to see an advertising platform in motion. To do that, I have a secondary PC, or I can setup a virtual machine, or even a VPS server with Windows XP/Server 2003. The question is, what to install in order to get this computer _infected_ with the adware. I'm curious about the popups. I'm not from the US, but I guess using a US VPS or proxy/strongVPN could do the trick to get US popups. You know, just to see how it works, what do I have to do to make the most out of my ads/landing pages.

It seems hotbar.com is dead, I've installed clickpotato on one of my us VPS server, but no popups so far. Can't beleive that it's so hard to get a computer infected, lol.

So, right now I want to get my comp. infected and see boatloads of popups to see how this thing works. I guess "doing nothing" on a victim computer and getting popups is the "run on network" from the other side

Face me to the right direction folks

If you have some money and want to skip all the hassle, you can sign up for Box of Ads (see banner in top or click here: BoxOfAds.com) This is the ultimate spy tool.

If you are not ready for that, you can install the pops yourself, but I always have hit or miss with it. Try clickpotato.com.

First of all, I'd like to see it from the user's point of view. I've set up a virtual machine with Windows XP, I'm on US IP with StrongVPN and installed the clickpotato thingie on the VM.

I'm not getting any popups, the default search changed to vGrabber. Any tips on how to start getting the popups or what to search for to see a couple? Basically I want to find out what the competition is doing. Is that hard to do?
