Default How much cash did you lose before you became "successful"?

I'm just curious if anybody picked up this whole thing with PPV without losing money at first.

If you did, KUDOS! You are a genius.

If you didn't, how much?

I'm down about $500 so far. I'm starting to get gun shy.

Probably about that much. Just follow those conversions. Target as specfic as possible and go broader.

I also lost around $500 before becoming profitable. Following the conversions is really good advice. If something isn't working, just stop and evaluate why it's not working, and figure out what changes you need to make.

I've been doing this a while, and I believe that back when I first started I spent around $700-$800 until I started seeing some encouraging results.

I tried several different niches, hoping for 1 winner niche out of 20 tried. I think I tried 40 niches until I found a couple niches that produced a fair income with a nice ROI.

Back then, I would kill my unproductive URLs if they got to 1/2 the commission without a sale. Now I'm more flexible on that (at times).

If you are running offers that pay out $30, then you could be waiting for a lot of URLs to run up to $15 -- with hopefully some getting conversions.

I realized it could take a large budget to achieve this, so I did several offers with payouts that varied from $4 to $16.50 and found some that produced a very high ROI and I didn't have to spend as much per URL to know when to kill them.

I'm down around $500 on CPV and I'm changing my strategy. Definitely going to the month three strategy because that plays well into the abilities that I have, don't want to say what because some people might not have month 3 available.

Basically - my copywriting skills have gotten me pretty far and thats what I intend to use now in CPV.
