Default How do you compete with autobidders?

The topic says it all. One of my most profitable targets on trafficvance has an autobidder on it. When i bid up, about 1 minute later the autobidder adjusts to the number 1 spot. Even when I've bumped it up significantly, I will always try to grab number 1. The thing that bugs me is that even when I drop my bid, it will drop with me. How in the world can I compete with this? Its irritating.

get an autobidder - j/k .. i can point you in the right direction in-terms of a grease monkey script. it's not 100% automated, but it'll dang sure save you some time. i need to create a tutorial for it (long over due).

Are you getting traffic in second place?

Just take your money and work on something new.

You could try to make their auto-bidder spend $10 per view by bidding it up, just be careful that you don't wind up back in first place. :P :P

I've figured out a few little strategies to compensate, but Coop has it right. I'd much rather net $20/day on a target AND work on something else rather than try to spend that time in a bid war, and ending up with maybe only $24 net.

I think my single worse bidding mistake was getting sucked into a bid war for an only marginally profitable target. In 1st place I managed to gross $90, but only a $2 profit

You never NEED to be #1 with CPV, sometimes it's more profitable to be #2 or even #3

i'm rarely number 1. i'd say no more than about 30% of my camps are in first position honestly. i also hate starting bidding wars, so..
