Question Gamevance, Playsushi & Livingplay?

Are they the same CPV ad platform, just different branding?

I'm not sure about Livingplay but Gamevance and Playshushi are essentially the same from what I understand. Although I think I heard somewhere that Playsushi only serves text ads and not popups... never really confirmed that though.

Because before I installed Gamevance on one machine and when I tried to install Playsushi i get a message saying that I already has installed it. So if this is true, why networks run all 3 campaigns together - it is possible to install only one of them, right?

That's been my experience.

They are all related along with Mighty Magoo and all have the text link ads with the double underlines.

Install the gamevance software from an affiliate link and you should have popups within 24-28 hours.

I installed gamevance several weeks ago, and I've yet to see a popup ...

The textlinks come out fine (using VPN overseas) but the popups never show.

Any advice? How are some of you guys seeing popups that are overseas?

Cheers ...

Same here... I am also using VPN, because I am from Europe, but I am starting to think that Gamevance are banning some IP ranges (like the VPN ones). I don't know.

I just installed GameVance as well.

On there site it says it only shows pop up 1-4 times a day.

Did you install it on your main PC?

You may just have to surf longer.

All of this is just a guess as I have yet to receive a pop up.

PlaySushi and Gamevance are one in the same, not sure about the third.

I installed Gamevance on an older XP PC which I rarely use, and my experience is similar to blueingreen's in that I haven't received any popups on it either. But this could be because I rarely use that PC.

So is it safe to install Gamevance on my main laptop which I use most of the day?

Do you trust it? Or is it going to mess with any important files?

Will it track my surfing history constantly?

(Or just with IE? I use Firefox most of the time)

i'm outside the US too and have been trying to get gamevance to show me some pops - didn't have much luck until today - here's a couple of things you can try if you use a VPN. [My current setup is Windows 7 with a VPN called HMA(HideMyAss)].

Here's what I did:
1. Uninstall Gamevance if you currently have it installed.
2. Download the Gamevance software while you are logged into a US ip with your VPN.
3. Wait 24 hours
4. Turn off the popup blockers in your IE & Firefox browsers
5. Log into your VPN with a US ip.
6. Then start browsing to see if you get some pops.
7. If you still dont get any pops after browsing for 10 mins or so, then go to the Settings in your VPN - some VPNs will have an option called "Secure IP Bind" (that's what HMA call it) - Enable this option and add the Gamevance applications to this list - DONT add any of your other programs - this should enable Gamevance to work while using the VPN.
8. Try browsing again - hopefully you will get some pops this time!

I've only done this today, so still not getting many pops, but have started to get a few - I guess the more I browse, the more I'll get over time. I've also found its better to use IE instead of firefox for this - my Firefox Addons only show Gamevance Textlinks are installed, but IE should show pops.
