I've been trying to pass the URL's I'm bidding on into my sub id but I can't get it to work. Has anyone successfully got this to work?

I use that exactly as you have it and it works every time for me. Like www.mydomain.com/index.php?subid=%%$KEYWORD%%

If you're using the coach's tracker you'd make the query string of your "creative" URL something like this to pass the keyword to the tracker:

?campaign=mycp&keyword=%%$KEYWORD%% &match_type=url&source=tv&z=0&b=1

It's working for me.

Ok it must be something im doing with php then. I'm just trying to grab the keyword and push it into the sub id like:

<?php

if(isset($_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%']))
{
$cid = $_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%'];
}
?>

then echoing it like myaffiliatelink....subid=<?php echo $%%$KEYWORD%%; ?>

does anyone know why thats not working?

It's probably URL encoded to look like "%25%25%24KEYWORD%25%25" instead of "%%$KEYWORD%%".

What does your TV creative link look like? If it's in the form of

keyword=%%$KEYWORD%%

(which would be a sensible way to do it) then you'll look for it in

$_GET['keyword'])

There's no way it's going to be in a param named %%$KEYWORD%% since that entire string will be replaced by the actual keyword.

hmm...so to put the referring url in my subid I wouldnt use %%$KEYWORD%% ?
I was thinking that %%$KEYWORD%% was the same as say OVKEY in yahoo, etc

on my LP im using:

<?php

if(isset($_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%']))
{
$cid = $_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%'];
}
?>

then echoing cid after the &sub= portion of my aff link. hopefully im explaining that right...

I guess my explanation wasn't quite clear enough. How about pasting in a copy of the creative URL you're entering at TrafficVance? (change any sensitive info to xxx if you like).

ok here is what im using:

PHP Code:
<?
if(isset($_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%'])) {

$keyword $_GET['%%$KEYWORD%%'];

$source "Traffic Vance";
    }
if(
$keyword && $source) {

$db_host  'xx';

$db_user  'xx';

$db_pass  'xx';

$db_name  'xx';

$conn mysql_connect($db_host,$db_user,$db_pass) or die(mysql_error());

mysql_select_db($db_name,$conn) or die(mysql_error());

$query mysql_query("select KID from keywords where KEYWORDS = '".$keyword."' and ENGINE = '".$source."'");

$results mysql_num_rows($query);
 if(
$results 0) {

$id mysql_fetch_array($query);

$cid $id['KID'];
     } else {

mysql_query("insert into keywords (KEYWORDS, ENGINE) values ('".$keyword."', '".$source."')");

$cid mysql_insert_id();
     }
    }
header("Location: http://www.lynxtrack.com/xxx&l=1&s=$cid");
?>
the page redirects fine but doesn't grab the url/keyword. This is the same code I use for google, yahoo, etc and it works fine there. Thanks for the help!
