Question Direct Linking for Rebill Offers

This is my first post here (woot!) and its the biggest question thats nagging me now.

Say I want to run a campaign for rebills (acai, grants etc) and I want to direct link to the merchants lp because in my testing I have found that the landing page route gets around 2% ctr.

Are you guys who are direct linking running campaigns where the majority of the page is cut off to the customer and hoping that they know how to use the scroll bars?

Seems like a conversion killer to me.

Cheers

Dave

Coach or anyone else have any thoughts on this? Im getting conversions from a lander but I think it may be hurting my overall campaign by using a lander.

Test it. Nobody will know except you.

coach any thoughts?

I dont see the point of testing an offer that I know is going to be cropped to the point where the user misses the whole point of the page. I know coach always says to direct link but this makes no sense in my mind at present.

Default Direct linking

Hi guys I have done a bit of digging around and found this post on the forum Answer to Direct linking . Just to summarize the answer is to split test and go with the winner when direct linking or using a LP.

Also make sure that you are using the contextual or downloads links provided when made available by the network as this 1) does not effect the epc in the same way as other traffic and second will switch off any popup's or auto play audios that may be present on the merchants landing page.

I hope this helps everyone.

Cheers,

Drew

Yeah that is good advice alewin. The earlier concerns mentioned in this thread about landing page size are very valid. However the answer to the question "is it better to go with my size-optimized landing page or non-size-optimized direct link landing page" depends on how good your landing page is, and how bad the direct link landing page is. The only way to know is to test. To succeed in CPV you're going to have to do far more testing than this, so time to start getting used to it
