Default Determining when to kill a campaign

What is your rule of thumb for killing a test campaign? 1k impressions with no conversions? Do you spend twenty dollars first?

I'm going to go on a multinetwork campaign blitz and just try different offers with different traffic companies and I wanted some feedback on the best way to test and move through offers.

Anyone got any insight on how they test? I'm just getting started with my ppv campaigns and could use some help

Thanks,
Chad

I usually go with a smaller list of urls and a set budget. It could be $20 or it could be $100 or it could be $1,000. The key is set it ahead of time and stick to it.

For me, it depends on the offer payout, desired ROI, and the amount I'm willing to spend. I usually set a budget of 5-10 times the offer payout before I'll kill a campaign.

For example, if I'm promoting a $10 offer and I want 100% ROI, I'll wait until I've spent $50, or 5 times the offer. If I haven't made 100% ROI ($50 profit), then I'll kill the campaign.

Of course, I'll play around a bit with the ROI and budget depending on the specific offer, but I try and keep the rules the same to make it easier for myself.

Do you just average the campaign payout for the offers you are rotating in figuring the numbers or do you do one offer per campaign for more control?

I rotate offers in the beginning. Until you find a winner, use an average payout amount as your best guess at what a conversion would pay.
