Default Demographics :: Why You Should Be Able To Convert Celeb Traffic Better

On PPC coach I heard a lot of griping that celeb traffic does not work. That's not true. It does work if you target the right offers to the right people. The question now is, what do I show to celeb traffic that might convert? You could start blindly rotating offers at the traffic, seeing which ones start converting. Or you could do a bit of research to get a jump on your conversions.

What could you look at to find this information?

Easy, look at the advertising sections of celeb magazine sites. Pretend you're a large corporation and are looking to advertise in their magazine. For most of them they'll actually tell you what demographic reads their magazine. So now you know who you're targeting, but what do you sell them? That's simple too, sell what's already being sold on their website or in their offline magazine. Make not of the companies and offers they're showing. Now find similar ones to show to your traffic source online.

A little tiny bit of digging will turn up the answers you're looking for. Now repeat this process for Sports Illustrated, or any NBA only magazines or Hockey magazines. These advertisers are there because they're making money by putting ads in the magazines. The odd one may be doing a test, but the majority will work from the get go!

I've been running this strategy for the last 10 days or so across TV, AdOn and MT without success. Must be the offers I've picked. I picked 2 offers that promote a product that I see advertised on these sites all the time. The ad that is doing well on the sites I'm targeting links through to a very detailed review site. I've been popping the actual ads as I didn't think people would stop to read a product review in a pop. Maybe they would...

alright so i took your advice and went out to buy a celebrity magazine. First off, it was embarassing as hell handing the cashier a celebrity gossip magazine LOL.

Anyway, I saw a bunch of makeup ads..lipsticks, mascara, etc. So I figured I'd try some free makeup email submits.

$15 spent on some of the high traffic celebrity sites and 0 conversion.

Maybe I picked the wrong advertisements....

Don't worry about the credit card stuff for ppv, it doesn't matter as much as with ppc.

ok so let's revisit this because I haven't had success with it yet. Where can I find these "beauty trials"... I have searched a few of the usual networks and haven't seen anything other than email submits. Maybe I am just overlooking it. Can anyone help a guy out?
