Default Demographics matching, Campaign Setup, and Traffic Sources

Ok, last question of the day and you probably won't hear from me for at least a week. I think a light bulb just went off in my head, and I think I finally get how to set up a campaign and how to match offers with their proper demographics. I started out picking random offers and then doing a lot of self targeting and targeting competitors. I guess this is the "obvious" method. It kinda works but I knew since the beginning that this strategy isn't going to lead to massive success because EVERYBODY is doing it. There isn't much thought involved, and I realized this morning that I haven't even been thinking about targeting DEMOGRAPHICS this whole time. Pretty retarded since demographics targeting is the name of the game.

So now I will start my campaigns by identifying an offer's demographics, and then finding specific traffic sources that match the offer's demographics. So let's say for example that I want to promote an offer in a saturated niche, but in one where there is a lot of money to be made. Would it be okay to take that same offer and test it against as many matching traffic sources as possible? So let's say I find 20-30 high volume url's that match my offer's demographics, can I set up 1 campaign for each url? Is this a good strategy? And that way I can tailor my landing pages to each url.....

I think I answered my own question here, but I just wanted to make sure that this is how you guys were launching campaigns?
