CJ, SAS, Linkshare

Anyone using CJ/SAS/Linkshare to promote Pay Per Sale type offers?

From my understanding, they use cookie based rather than pixel firing so it makes it like cookie stuffing.

I noticed that some advertisers say it explicitly in their descriptions. If we're just sending a few views a day (like if I bid on order pages URLs), would they even notice?

I heard that Van Clute got dinged at CJ, but i'm not sure what the real story is.

Any thoughts?????

I think all of these networks have listed that they don't accept PPV traffic in their terms.

Really? I haven't been able to spot it...

where do I look for the terms?

You can probably search for "adware" in their terms and find some info.

I found this info on SAS:

I don't get this either. In a few of the "Success Stories" section and other places on this forum people are talking about using PPV for promoting Pay Per Sale offers, or percentage of sale offers.

Are you guys just ignoring TOS? Cookie stuffing definitely works, that's why a bunch of affiliates over on ebay just got dropped and sued.

Or am I confused about Pay Per Sale?

Whoa good find..

Some networks hate this traffic, others don't mind it. That's why you must make sure it's allowed first. Van Clute did big numbers because he was sending illegal traffic to offers that didn't accept it. He didn't get paid for it either, (not sure if he ever mentioned that part).

:)

Van Clute is a fuckwit. who would turn off their profitable ppc campaigns and only do ppv. I think his brains weren't quite working.
