Default Be Careful with RON Campaign Settings

Some shifty asshole networks are glad to set you up with RON campaigns, (run of network), which brings in maximum traffic but nothing targetted. When they do this make sure you check the frequency caps on the traffic.

I had one running for a month and it was set to show the add every 5 minutes to the same user for a maximum of 3 times per day.

I should have double checked the settings but didn't.

That means ONE person would see the add 3 times in one session instead of just once. This is great for the network who will now make an extra 2 charges on those 2 extra impressions, but shitty for you because you're showing the ad two more times to the same person and you shouldn't. Once is enough. SO make sure you double check these settings and if the network makes any changes without you knowing, get a refund for the impressions they screwed you on.

It can, but you need something that everyone would use...or most of them may use...
