Default Which browser is used for pops?

Hey everyone. I was curious if anyone has looked into this more. I would like to know if Media Traffic or any of the other networks only use IE for the pops?

I am new to cpv and have only used MT at this point. I have tried to install one of the screensaver apps that is supposed to pop the ads but have not been able to get it to work so I have not been able to confirm. The reason I am curious is because 99% of the views in prosper seem to be from IE only and firefox has a much larger share of the market than 1% or so.

Problem would be that cookies would not be set during self targeting if the user was browsing with firefox and the pop was with IE. The cookie would be set for IE only and the difference in browser would likely be very noticeable to the user.

Has anyone confirmed this or found a way around it? Seems like a very large loss of potential sales to me.

From my testing, the pops occur on both IE and Firefox.

Hey Thanks! That is good to know. I did try installing the software but it only launched IE during the install and I have never had a popup yet... Even tried with the virus scanner off. Will look into that more later.

Thanks for checking that for me!

I see all of my traffic coming from IE - and I could never get pops to work for Firefox on my laptop.

I have ie and firefox pop ups happen from different networks.

Firefox pop ups are nice because the address window is not visible.

In the past I checked my logs for thousands visitors and 99.99% were using ie.

Unfortunately I think that they are just popping on the default browser and not the active browser that the match is occurring on. Would be nice if they would change that. Would make the sniper method and some others a bit more effective.
