Default Blackhat method

ok, I've been doing this for about a week now and things are kicking in.

small scale sofar, but ROI has been in the 500% range.

please don't share this tip outside this forum. we don't need more competition using this method.

Say you are promoting a Boca Java coffee offer.

Build a website promoting the competition ie Gevalia coffee offer. all your affiliate links on the page need to go to Gevalia, not Boca Java.

Bid on the url bocajava.com and your ad will get approved because its not popping the same page as your offer.

Once approved, put a .htaccess file on the root of your subdomain with a redirect to the boca java offer (with your tracking id attached) and bingo, you're popping the merchants landing page with their own offer.

conversions are awesome, but once again you will need to test and tweak this method.

Be careful bro.

The word blackhat means "use at your own risk"...

(nice tip though, thank you for sharing)

I've thought about doing this, but haven't tried it. To me though, it would be super easy using a rotation package with the tracker. You could also then pop the real offer 1 out of 3 times, or whatever you choose to cover your tracks slightly.

What do you think?

yes, that would work too. get your campaign approved without popping the merchants page, then add the merchants affiliate link after approval. rotate it 9 out of 10 or something like that.

I think Darwin's idea has better "plausible deniability" potential. How are you going to explain the funky .htaccess?

Of course, if you're quoting Nixon you're probably not swimming in the best ethical waters

harry,

as aside, why do you need to build a site. why not just use a gevalia offer and then redirect once approved? i must be missing something really obvious

Harry, fire it up and use it. I can't say I have it working entirely, which I am sure is my fault that I am trying to figure out, but using the offers and rotations is completely worth it. you can still track manually and can hide the subids from the networks.
