Default Been testing 5-6 offers with zero conversions is this normal?

Been testing 5-6 offers with zero conversions is this normal?

I have been making landing pages that are very ugly as if a 5 year old had made them on purpose because I read alot that it helps the CTR. I am getting clicks just not any conversions.

I would like to hear your comments.

Hard to say without knowing more:
  • How many views to each landing page?
  • How many clicks to the offer?
  • What is the offer(s)?
  • Is your landing page representative of the offer?

Here is a quick video explanation.

Quick video

I was using Traffic Vance for the PPV traffic. The Love Calc offer was an Austrian targeted mobile submit offer with a $10 payout. I was not sure what targets I should target for this "does he love me quiz type offer" So I was targeting dating sites thinking maybe people unhappy with their current relationship would submit their cell phone number after participating in the questionnaire. I know I didn't run enough traffic but I kinda figured I should at least get some conversions even if I am not making a profit. But I did not get any conversions.

The payday loan test I had spent $437....this is a highly competitive niche were people were bidding $1 an impression. I was bidding high just to see if I could even get conversions from the top domains (though I realize this might not be the smartest thing to do when you have a bunch of people over bidding). The result was I got no conversions.... My payout was $100 at the CPA network and after 10 conversions got bumped to $150 per lead. So I was hoping to see some conversions and then fine tune my targets. But I didn't even get a single conversion.

What am I doing wrong here guys?

with the "does he love me quiz type offer" try to target teenager girls visited websites. people who visit dating sites are mostly over 25, more male visitors...and they don't believe in such "does he love me" BS...i think...

not always the first place bid is the profitable. try to have your bids at lower level

I really wish this forum was more active. I see many people lurking but no one post.

We are working on that... what can we do to entice others to post? Open to ideas!

After watching your video, I think you know all of the answers already Some offers simply work and others don't. As you mention, you do need a higher sample to create an effective test. Auto insurance is insanely competitive, but there is a reason for that!

Qasy comments are good too to listen to.

I will say this, you are on your way to success. People like you try everything, test different offers, learn, and keep building campaigns. Those are the ones that succeed. You aren't doing anything wrong per se, just keep at it.

Also, always try and find an angle that is not so obvious. For example, auto insurance on auto insurance sites is obvious. But perhaps the demographics of people looking to save money elsewhere might work? Even people searching for coupons? (just guessing, but you get the idea, then tailor a landing page towards that)
