Default 3 VERY specific network questions i've been dying to understand..

In the adonnetwork video at approximately 7:43, what EXACTLY do we put there, what link do we use? if we use 1 link how do we track the converters and finally, how do i generate the link i place there?

In the clicksor video at approx 1:54 same questions..

in the zando video at approx 1:31 same questions...

once i get answers to these i should be all set, but i've been hesitant to launch cause because of these hurdles...

thanks,

- lucas

Lucas, I responded to your other post about AdOn but if you want to track without using the tracker then just add SEARCHTEXT to your affiliate link. You can also track by PARTNERID which can be helpful, depending on the type of campaign you're running. So you could put:

http://afflink.com/affcode/aon-SEARCHTEXT-PARTNERID

Then in your affiliate report you'll see the referrer - AdOn - the keyword - SEARCHTEXT - and what partner generated the click - PARTNERID.

When you have run a campaign and go to the reports section of AdOn you'll first be shown the partner id info, in other words which partners were responsible for the traffic you received, and then you click on the keyword tab and you'll see which keywords bought in the traffic.

I find partner id tracking is best to use if you're doing a run of network campaign but tend not to mess around with it if I have keywords. The main reason being that a partner may not be great for one keyword but may work for another. If you turn a partner off then you turn it off for the whole of the campaign. You also need a lot more data before you can make a decision about which partners are working and which aren't for particular keywords. Either that or track it by placing an AdOn pixel.

Tracking through Clicksor and Zango is not something I ever mastered so can't really help you there...

Zango, you can't do anything except append the keyword to the end and it works 50% of the time. For clicksor I think it's %%keyword%%, but I'll have to double check.
