Default 1st shot at fan club study...

Started off lazily creating direct to submit - killed it on facebook for the first day, minimal leads on directcpv (waiting on adson & mt to be setup)... Then spent the following two days watching that submit get the shit scrubbed out of it. Dropped my $50 first day profit down to $12 bucks total over the three days.

Hmm..I need a new strategy... Ok ok...Enough reading & videos..time for action..

1) Picked a niche: I'm not starting out too specific here.. don't want to get discouraged with no traffic/converts so choosing a popular niche - hoping it has a twist enough to not be too competitive.

2) Strategy... Fan Club > Aweber > Transition > 1st Prepop Submit
(I'm doing double opt-in, just because I don't want to be emailing anyone that doesn't want the mail.) Confirmation page is a 2nd Prepop Submit.

By this time punter has already been pushed to 2 submits, the welcome email has some genuine content in it. Plus has a coupon for a rather nice related product on amazon. (Hopefuly they buy, if not hey couldn't hurt to get an amazon cookie set right?)

Then end of each weekly episode (yeah tv show niche) send out more genuine content/commentary with the same amazon product in there.

Need to figure out how to get more out of them long term, but that's the gist of strategy.

So now I'm on the setup... Landing page designs are done, research done (is 300 targets too many to start with?) How much do you throw at a new campaign before you decide if its a winner loser?

(Just a little stuck on how the hell to get this to all track properly - but I figure as far as prosper is concerned..my transition page is my simple landing page?)

Sorry for long winded post - back to work.. hopefully back with some numbers soon once launched. Doing ppc & ppv same time for this one.

i'm seeing better results without the transition page. go direct from the lander to the pre-pop offer, or split test both. sounds like you have a solid plan though. taking action is the best strategy

Wasted a day banging my head on the wall trying to figure out the tracking. Eventually Google helped me out:

Passing Variables Through Prosper 202 Mod | CTRtard.com - Internet Marketing with a Helmet

Got the whole process all setup from start to finish and all nicely tracking. Lucas, could I PM you a link to take a look to get your feedback on the page/process?

On to launch on the networks.

ok, figured i'd respond here without giving away the details of your campaign.

so far looks decent, but there are a few things i'd change right off the bat.
  • You need some offer branding on your lander. I wasn't expecting to see that offer after opted in. There should be an instant synaptic connection between your lander and the offer.
  • Split test using the transition page and without it.
  • Your wording is a bit strange to me personally. I'd say - "Join The xxxx Fan Club!".
  • You could make the lander a bit larger depending on where you're running it.
  • Add an audible call to action.

Start there and then post more questions bud, but way to take action!
