Default Directcpv Fake traffic?

Anyone tracked Directcpv's traffic? I have made a lot of tracking test and found directcpv at least sent over 25% fake traffic to me these days. It's very big percent.

How can you tell if the traffic is fake?

I did a test recently

I set up a website with fake banners...

and I send 5000 hits from each of the networks...

all of them reported almost no clicks...

but DirectCPV had the classic 1-2 % Clickthru rate...

some of these banners had nothing but an outline in them...
but they were clicked too...

so now... i do not use them...

I believe they have real traffic but they mix it with PTC traffic...

I have never been able to scale a campaign on directcpv.....never.
Just my observations...

The quality definitely isn't up as high as the other networks - but I do use them occasionally. They work best for email/zip submits in my experience.

It is a lot of junk traffic that DirectCPV is mixing with (some) real traffic, that was my conclusion after getting unreal high ctr's like 400 clicks with 600 impressions with not a single conversion.

Default fake traffic from directcpv.com

I too have seen fake traffic from/directcpv.com
When I asked them about it they replied:

Some of our traffic partners are using a masking technique in order to drive traffic to you and that is why you see these targets in your reports.

We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please do not send another email. Instead, reply to this email or login to your account for a complete archive of all your support request and responses.

It was not!!! I am looking for a more reliable source for traffic

This is the link that keep showing up in my tracking software:

cpv.servefeed.info

This went to many different ppv offers that had nothing to do with what I do

I strongly recommend you complain to directcpv and then find a new source

I am starting to believe DirectCPV traffic includes a lot of junk as per my Referer stats in Prosper.

The 2 Referers with the most clicks today were
cpv.servefeed.info
[no referer]

Also stuff like this shows up
77kxw.info
88830.com
73kkk.com

Am I missing something here?
