Default New PPV List Building Case Study

I'll be posting my results here of my ppv campaign that I'm running.

I am basically building a list in an emotional markets. diet and weight loss is a good one... but

EDIT: (I decided to enter the BizOpp/Work at Home niche instead)

I am scrapping urls using affexpert.

I have created two squeeze pages (750 x 450) and split testing
between the two using a simple rotator script.

Each squeeze page redirects to same main primary offer.

I am promoting a $35 cpa offer as my primary offer after the subscriber
opts into my AR webform.

I'm keeping the squeeze pages simple.

A strong headline, one short hyped paragraph, 5 bullets,
and a short call to action. I do not have a spam statement, and I'm using
only single optins.

No images of any kind. Red headline, black bullets,
blue paragraph, and a orange submit button.

I'm using aweber for the autoresponder service.

What I'm doing here is basically converting ppv traffic to email traffic
that I can email to over and over again at no cost and test offers.

I have set up 21 emails in my AR sequence.

The first 7 days the subscriber will receive 2 offers a day.
After that, 1 offer a day for the next 7 days. 14 days total.

Each email is short and to the point with a link to a new offer.

I am not offering any content in the email sequence.

Url Targets were mostly picked from Google, Yahoo and Bing by searching relevant keywords using affexpert.

I have about 2,500 urls.

I'm very curious how this test will turn out.

After I get some data I'll update it here.

I'm interested to hear how this goes for you.

Especially the part about sending 2 offers per day for the first 7 days.

Interested in hearing this!

In my experience with mailing lists, I've found that you want to stay away from rebill CPA offers since they really piss people off when they realize they were had. Unfortunately rebill advertisers are scum of the earth a lot of times

The whole point of a mailing list is so you can become their "friend" and recommend lots of quality offers to them.

The best analogy I've heard that explains it well is "your email list is just like a TV channel". You send them content ("shows") and then you line up promotions ("commercials") every once in awhile that they'd likely be interested in. You can really kill it on promos when you do a sequence (a launch basically) where you really ratchet up the excitement before making the product available (ie before making you aff link available )

Blasting emails out while staying "helpful" is as easy as finding kickass stuff (articles/videos/whatever) that already exists on the web, and just linking them to that. They love it, and since you connected them to it they'll listen to you in the future (key for conversions on your promos). Your results will be as good as your "channel" is

Don't forget that there are plenty of quality offers out there dude!

lol, I can tell your a serious mailer by your forced line breaks even in forums hehe.

looking forward to hearing the results but I agree with the guy above that you should offer quality to your list rather then rebills.. you might get lots of spam complains etc after they buy then get your list flagged and hitting the spam box every time. Just my 2c

I'd suggest maybe starting them off with a smaller offer as well - some sort of diet lead gen offer.

We have one if your interested. Rebills will definitely burn out the list fast, although we have and use those in our emails too.

there is nothing wrong with burning a list at all and that's one of the many strategies i try and teach. there are tons of strats, but i've made really good cash with the intention building a 10k responsive list in 15 days and burning the shit out of it with rebills. we're not talking about freaking wso leads here, we're talking cpv carry on bud is what i say and let us know how it pans out. all depends on how YOU want to engage with that list, but you don't have to baby a list at all, that's just all most people know how to do (that's all they read) honestly most people who talk email have never even gotten beyond their $1 aweber trial that's why i succeed with email cause i NEVER listen to anyone unless i REALLY know otherwise. i'm not talking about anyone in this thread, but this is the kinda stuff you read everywhere and i'm trying to show you how easy email and uncomplicated email marketing can really be. most people are too lazy to set up email campaigns so just keep working and you're way ahead of the pack.

not that i'm a master at all, but start mailing at least! that's what i did.

Thanks PapaBear,

Most people may have not heard of (or ever tried) the "earn and burn" method.

I want to earn these email subscribers as fast as possible and burn
them up with offers until ....

They take an action period.

Either fill out the offer... or unsubscribe. Simple.

I want to build the list as fast as I can, and send them
several related offers.

I got this campaign started a little bit later than I had hoped.

It's been live for 3 days now.

I'll report back here in 5-6 more days.

This campaign I'm running now is a test. You win and I win... we both
get to benefit from the results... be it good or bad.

Talk soon,

xfactor
