Default Is $200 Enough?

Quick question for all that have experience. I have had luck with self targeting offers and email submits in the past on a smaller CPV budget.

My question is, does anyone else believe you can get a profitable CPV Campaign going for around $200 testing money?

What do ya think?

I think if you're starting out $200 can be enough. You have to target your URLs and keywords very specifically and spend about 2-3x the offer to see if it converts. If the offer lead pays $3, I wouldn't spend more than $9 on a highly targeted URL or keyword.

Thanks for you input u4icjaj!

I think the key is like you said, closely choose you URL targets and start with zip/email submits. This way you can easily afford to spend 3x you payout before you cut a URL loose.

I know its doable, because I have made it work before. It just takes more time and diligence.

Have you seen this thread?
$2000 in 2 days

I think it is very possible to achieve with minimal start up funds. As stated before it's just important to test throughly and cut your URLs as soon as you see for sure that they aren't working. Also I think that some of the other verticals out there really perform better than email submits do. But if that is where you have had success before than I would stick with it for now. When you have a slightly larger budget, I would consider running different offers.

So yeah... I just read that thread a bit more throughly and maybe it isn't the best example. But I do still think that you can make plenty of money with a $200 budget as long as you do some careful planning and watch your campaigns closely.

200 is a minimum to get into 2 traffic sources that I know of..you can actually start 10 bucks per campaign and scale from there.

Sure it's enough!

Start small and reinvest to get to the big numbers.

Hi Bizzle
Can I ask which network you used to advertise with as I understand many require a large deposit?

GreenMachine - It'd sure be nice if you could enlighten us on exactly what "other verticals" you are referring to??

Cheers ~ Abe
