Default AdOn Network Traffic Types?

When choosing traffic sources what's the difference between publisher and desktop software? I know the guide says to choose publisher only, but I have no idea what differentiates the two?

Thanks

Publishers means pops on websites from browsers.

Desktop means pops from downloaded desktop applications.

I would test both and see personally. However, I have mostly only used desktop traffic. those are people that downloaded toolbars, so they are more likely to click on ads IMO.

Hey the new "traffic for Affiliates" tag is made up of AdOn's best converting traffic sources. I recommend using this tag for any campaigns that need a conversion.

These statements are correct as well.
Publishers means pops on websites from browsers.

Desktop means pops from downloaded desktop applications.

Have you had many conversions with the "Traffic for Affiliates" option trafficman? I haven't tried it yet myself.

Hi Paul, definitely seeing traction. conversions here! Key is to incrementally lift bids enough to get traffic.
